The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, and orderly facilities within assigned areas. This role ensures a safe, welcoming environment for occupants by performing routine cleaning, sanitizing, and light maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or collaboratively in a team setting during second-shift hours.
Follow established cleaning procedures, schedules, and safety protocols
Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, high dusting, floor care, and trash removal
Sanitize restrooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces to maintain hygiene standards
Maintain organized and properly stocked cleaning supply and equipment storage areas
Safely and effectively use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment
Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding work status or issues
Support a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Physical stamina to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks
Preferred:
Previous custodial or janitorial experience, particularly in a medical or professional setting
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal practices
Experience operating commercial cleaning equipment
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods
Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat and cold
Requires manual dexterity, physical endurance, and attention to safety practices
On-call position
Second shift: 4:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.
Monday through Friday
Some weekends may be required based on operational needs
