Position Summary

The Finish Plumbing Crew Member installs, inspects, and tests plumbing fixtures and related materials within a controlled production environment. This role supports modular home construction by installing sinks, faucets, drains, dishwashers, toilets, and related components. Duties include identifying safety and plumbing concerns, performing basic clerical tasks related to the project, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install plumbing materials including sinks, faucets, drains, dishwashers, and toilets

  • Inspect work to identify plumbing issues and take corrective action

  • Interpret purchase orders to identify materials needed for installation

  • Ensure compliance with applicable plumbing codes

  • Maintain inventory, tools, and supplies

  • Keep work area clean, organized, and safe

  • Follow all safety standards and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Assist with troubleshooting or repairs at client sites as needed

  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a cooperative and productive environment

  • Perform clerical tasks related to project documentation

  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Knowledge of plumbing materials, industry standards, and codes

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, floor plans, and work orders

  • Ability to use manual and power tools safely (e.g., screw guns, belt sanders)

  • Proficient soldering skills with copper piping

  • Ability to perform overhead physical work for extended periods

  • Strong math and measurement skills

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently

  • Valid driver’s license


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work performed in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels

  • Occasional work in production areas requiring safety glasses and hearing protection

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 lbs.

  • Extended standing, walking, bending, and manual labor

  • Requires manual dexterity, multi-limb coordination, and physical stamina


Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

  • Evening and Friday work may occur as job duties demand

  • Travel is generally not expected; occasional out-of-area travel may occur
