Food Server – On Call (Omaha)

Wage: $7.00 hr/ Plus tips 

Position Summary

WarHorse Gaming Omaha is seeking enthusiastic and service-oriented On-Call Food Servers to deliver an exceptional dining experience to our guests. This role is responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining tables, ensuring cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service in accordance with outlet standards. This is an on-call position with flexible scheduling, based on business levels and special events, with no guaranteed set hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly, and efficient service to all guests.

• Greet guests immediately upon arrival and thank them upon departure.

• Take and deliver food and beverage orders, including wine and specialty drinks.

• Maintain guest tables by clearing, cleaning, and resetting as needed.

• Polish glassware, silverware, and china; maintain a clean dining area.

• Assist food runners, bussers, and hosts to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

• Maintain knowledge of menu items and make recommendations when appropriate.

• Follow all cash-handling and compliance procedures.

• Support WarHorse’s Mission, Vision, and Values through positive guest interactions.

• Attend required meetings and training sessions.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Three (3) years of food service and/or customer service experience preferred.

• Ability to use mobile devices and touch-screen technology.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Strong commitment to guest service excellence and professionalism.

Work Hours

• On-call position; schedule varies with business needs.

• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Licensing & Certifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License.

• Food Handler’s Permit, ServSafe Certification, and TIPS Alcohol Certification required (training may be provided).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and carrying trays.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to loud noise and secondhand smoke.
