Position Summary

The Cage Cashier is responsible for safeguarding company assets, accurately balancing assigned cash drawers, and providing financial services to guests in a professional and courteous manner. This position processes chip redemptions, ticket payouts, check cashing, and other transactions, while supporting player club services and maintaining compliance with gaming regulations and company procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safeguard company assets and follow all internal control standards

  • Accurately balance assigned bank at the beginning and end of each shift

  • Process guest transactions including:

    • Cashing chips, gaming tokens, and TITO (Ticket-In, Ticket-Out) vouchers

    • Redeeming slot machine payout tickets and vouchers for cash or cash equivalents

    • Cashing personal and travelers checks

    • Performing debit card and EFTPOS cash advances

    • Conducting rolling chip exchanges

  • Issue and replace player club cards, assist guests with club issues, and provide player rewards information

  • Maintain accurate and legible balance sheets and transaction records

  • Assist Cage Supervisor in maintaining accurate shift records

  • Maintain confidentiality of all internal activities and sensitive information

  • Provide professional, courteous customer service in all guest interactions

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in gaming or banking operations


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent movement across casino floor and Cage area

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform prolonged standing and walking

  • Exposure to secondhand smoke, noise, and standard gaming environment conditions

  • Use of hands, fingers, and fine motor skills for cash handling and computer tasks

  • Regular use of verbal, written, and non-verbal communication for guest and team interactions


Schedule

This is a full-time position. Team members must be able to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet property business needs.
