Position Summary

The Slot Attendant is responsible for delivering outstanding guest service by promptly responding to guest needs on the gaming floor. This role assists with slot machine operations, including hand-paid jackpots, ticket voucher replenishment, and minor machine repairs, while maintaining a professional and friendly presence that supports an exceptional guest experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a visible presence on the gaming floor, proactively assisting guests with slot machines and service needs.

  • Provide courteous, professional, and empathetic responses to guest questions and concerns, ensuring timely resolution.

  • Explain game combinations, payouts, and jackpots to guests.

  • Reset slot machines as required.

  • Complete manual jackpot payouts and act as a signatory on hand-paid jackpots per internal controls and SOPs.

  • Refill ticket printers with voucher paper and perform minor machine repairs.

  • Maintain secure handling of keys, radios, and company-issued devices.

  • Create player accounts and print club cards.

  • Assist guests in ordering beverages.

  • Support a professional work environment with supervisors and colleagues.

  • Attend required training meetings and assist with projects or training of new team members as directed.

  • Adhere to all company, departmental, and regulatory guidelines, including compulsive gambling regulations and restrictions on service to minors or intoxicated persons.

  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling based on business needs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.

  • Previous customer service experience.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with slot systems a plus.

  • Ability to interact with mobile devices and touchscreen technology.

Preferred:

  • One (1) year of experience in gaming or hospitality.

  • Experience with smartphones or tablet applications.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing and walking on the casino floor.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Exposure to secondhand smoke, loud noise, and standard casino conditions.

  • Requires agility, coordination, balance, and fine motor skills for machine resets, paperwork, and guest interactions.

  • Prolonged periods of guest communication, both verbal and written.


Schedule

This is a full-time position. Team members must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on property business needs.

WORK HOURS:
Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Team members must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

Gaming License Required? Yes. Ability to secure and maintain NE Gaming License.
