WarHorse Gaming is a gaming and entertainment division of Ho-Chunk, Inc., developed in partnership with the Nebraska Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association (HBPA). The company is responsible for managing the expansion of casino gaming at Nebraska’s historic horse racing venues, with properties in Lincoln, Omaha, and South Sioux City. Position Summary
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing safety, security, and loss prevention across the casino property. This role safeguards company assets, ensures compliance with gaming regulations, and protects guests and team members by leading a team of Security Officers. The position requires sound judgment, leadership skills, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents and emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
Enforce all applicable laws, gaming regulations, and company policies fairly and consistently
Supervise Security Officers during assigned shifts to ensure operational efficiency
Assist with investigations and incident reporting as directed by leadership
Identify and mitigate risks to guests, team members, and company property
Detain individuals with probable cause for notification of law enforcement or state gaming officials
Maintain company-wide key controls and monitor access to restricted areas
Support training and development of security staff to ensure professionalism and compliance
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
Must be 21 years of age or older
Associate degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
Three (3) years of related work experience in the security field
Previous supervisory or leadership experience
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Ability to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License
Valid driver’s license
CPR certification
Preferred:
Previous experience in a casino or resort environment
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Exposure to varying conditions, including weather extremes, loud noise, smoke, and confined spaces
Requires frequent standing, walking, and mobility throughout the property
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Physical agility, balance, and endurance for prolonged activity
Frequent use of sensory abilities including vision, hearing, and touch
Schedule
This position requires flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours to meet business needs.
