Summary

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting Coordinator. The Accounting Coordinator will assist in managing various accounting tasks and contribute to the efficient operation of the finance department. The ideal candidate will possess analytical skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of accounting principles.

Another role of the position is to maintain master inventory list of costs and purchases of raw materials in accounting software and perform various accounting and miscellaneous tasks.

  • Reviews inventory invoices for errors in coding, receiving and pricing
  • Completes Accounts Payable check reconciliation
  • Develops, updates and maintains master inventory list in computer system.
  • Keys vendor inventory invoices and their pricing of raw material into Accounting software.
  • Maintains and updates raw material inventory and pricing lists in computer system.
  • Assists with obtaining credit on vendor overcharges of inventory materials.
  • Assists Accounts Payable with special projects as necessary.
  • Rotates and fills in for receptionist.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including general ledgers and financial reports.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and conducting reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any accounting discrepancies or issues.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Assist in financial analysis and reporting as required.
  • Assist with the accounting functions of Dynamic Systems.
  • Perform ad hoc accounting tasks and projects assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision and color vision.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Evening work may be required as job duties demand.

 

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

 

Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, Finance, or related field.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ERP systems or other accounting software.

Experience with accounting for governmental contracting.

  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Great Plains Dynamics Accounting, Purchasing and Financial Inventory Software. Working knowledge of Internet software, data base and Microsoft Office Software.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Maintains a valid Driver’s License
