SUMMARY

Assists the Community Development Manager in all aspects of Community Development Programming including administrative and technical support, assessing, planning and executing projects. Fosters an environment of excellence, transparency, cooperation, and flexibility in a team setting and individually.  

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with project planning and execution
  • Coordinate, attend and participate in stakeholder meetings
  • Maintain project documentation, plans and reports
  • Assist in developing operational procedures, goals, strategies, and objectives.
  • Prepare or directs the preparation of reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and performance.
  • Suggests and implements methods to improve operations, processes, efficiency, and service to both internal and external customers.
  • Prepares necessary letters, presentations and applications at Leadership direction based on business needs.
  • Research business trends, best practices and industry standards. Offers recommendations for improved business processes based on findings.
  • Interprets and implements company policies and develops operating procedures to facilitate office operations.
  • Must work effectively and cross functionally with a variety of companies and staff and take the lead on planning, implementing and monitoring a variety of projects.
  • Handles multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ensures strict confidentiality of all records.
  • Assists with community development prospecting efforts
  • Provide assistance and support to Community Development Department Manager and programming
  • Other job-related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Experience

  • Must be able to manage and organize multiple projects for various departments.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to present information to internal/external customers
  • Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project
  • High level of motivation and strong work ethic

Education  

Associate degree in business management is preferred.  Three to five year’s related experience required; must also have professional experience in a business environment.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

 

This position has no supervisory.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Regular commute to primary work location is not considered travel. Travel is primarily local during the business day.
