Summary

Supports the PEX Operations Team in all aspects of operations pertaining to the c-store and Sweetwater Café’s. Duties will include both administrative support and on-site work assignments in both the stores and the cafés.  

 

Essential Functions

  • Assists in the administrative support of operations for the Sweetwater Café’s and Pony Express stores.
  • Assist Social Media Coordinator with social media by posting weekly content and responding to inquiries
  • Reviews Store Audits and Secret Shopper reports, shares results with managers and follows up to address any issues.
  • Assist PEX Operations in all record keeping by scanning, uploading, and creating digital files.
  • Attend community events and meetings with Ops team as assigned.
  • Attend all PEX Group manager and financial meetings.
  • Will assist PEX Mangers in completing weekly cycle counts & monthly inventories as assigned.
  • Review monthly checks lists completed by store managers to ensure EOM process is complete and accurate.
  • Assists PEX Ops and Accounting in reviewing weekly and monthly reports to ensure accuracy and deadlines are being met.
  • Assists PEX Operations in the review, revision and implementation of all policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Schedule and set up meetings for PEX Ops team and take notes.
  • Support operations in implementing strategies to improve customer service, drives store sales, and increase profitability.
  • Run errands for PEX Ops team, stores, and café’s.
  • Complete assigned projects and research from both PEX Ops and/or Accounting
  • Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Also, on site in all eight PEX locations

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items that weigh more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Seasonal position. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

 

Travel

Travel is primarily locally during the business day, although some out of the area travel may be expected.

 

Experience

  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and ability to deal effectively with a variety of people and situations
  • Maintains a valid Driver’s License and be insurable under company insurance provider/program
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of force occasionally

Education

High School diploma 

Enrolled in higher education

GPA 2.5
