Job Title: Data Analyst Service Specialist

Salary: $95,000 - 143,400
SUMMARY
The Data Analyst Services Specialist will provide data analysis support to the Public Works (PW) department. The role involves monitoring and verifying the accuracy, consistency, and validity of datasets to support job cost accounting, research operations metrics, and respond to data calls. The specialist will work with various data management systems, including GFEBS, GIS, CAD, and other facility management databases.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform data analysis to monitor and verify the accuracy, consistency, and validity of PW datasets.
- Support PW personnel in researching datasets to identify trends in operations metrics and respond to data-related inquiries.
- Assist PW personnel in determining data formats to be used before system population to ensure useful and meaningful data collection.
- Conduct query and report management, and manage data entry of work documents, labor transactions, supply purchasing, and equipment inventory documents.
- Utilize SQL procedures in MS SQL, Autodesk AutoCAD, Oracle SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Projects and MS Visio) for data analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with PW personnel to provide data-driven insights for planning, management, and operational decision-making.
- Work as part of a team of government and contractor personnel to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Provide technical assistance and training to PW personnel on data management systems and tools.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle large datasets.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., MS SQL, Oracle SQL).
- Familiarity with data management tools, including Autodesk AutoCAD, GIS software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and provide training to end-users.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role, preferably in a government or military environment.
- Experience with GFEBS, GIS, CAD, and other facility management systems is highly desirable.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily office-based, working with data analysis software and database management systems. Occasional interaction with field personnel to understand data collection and usage.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Regular use of computers and other office equipment for data analysis and report generation.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Standard work hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Regular commute to primary work location is not considered travel. Minimal travel required, primarily for training or meetings at alternate JBLM sites.
CLEARANCE/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance in accordance with DoD regulations.
- Compliance with all JBLM and DoD cybersecurity and information assurance protocols is mandatory.
