WarHorse Gaming is a gaming and entertainment division of Ho-Chunk, Inc., developed in partnership with the Nebraska Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association (HBPA). Position Summary
The Outlet Manager leads the day-to-day front-of-house operations of an assigned outlet, ensuring exceptional guest service, consistent service standards, and operational excellence. This position provides hands-on leadership to front-of-house team members through training, coaching, scheduling, and performance support while maintaining compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations.
The Outlet Manager maintains a visible leadership presence during peak business periods, special events, and property functions and works collaboratively with internal departments to support outlet operations, promotions, events, and property initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day front-of-house operations of the assigned outlet, ensuring exceptional guest service and adherence to company service standards.
- Maintain front-of-house operating supplies and support appropriate inventory levels.
- Oversee front-of-house team member training, coaching, scheduling, and performance support.
- Ensure prompt, efficient, and friendly service to all guests while maintaining established service standards.
- Ensure compliance with department policies, procedures, internal controls, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage guest relations with professionalism, tact, and diplomacy to promote a high-quality guest experience.
- Ensure payment and/or comp authorization is received for all items served and that proper cash-handling procedures are followed.
- Oversee the balancing of cash registers at the end of each shift.
- Comply with S.M.A.R.T. or TIPS training requirements.
- Train team members as appropriate to support operational and service standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support outlet operations, promotions, events, and property initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze operational and guest service metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain a visible leadership presence during peak business periods, special events, and property functions.
- Attend periodic meetings and training sessions.
- Assist the supervisor with weekly and monthly orders.
- Promote positive guest and team member relations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- High school diploma, equivalent, or GED.
- Eight (8) years of food and beverage experience, including five (5) years in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong front-of-house operational leadership and guest service skills.
- Strong POS operational and programming experience.
- Knowledge of applicable government health, hotel, and food service regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency in operational financial management, accountability, and budgeting.
- Ability to effectively lead, train, coach, and support front-of-house team members.
- Ability to manage guest relations professionally, tactfully, and diplomatically.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License.
- Food Handler certification.
- ServSafe certification.
- TIPS Alcohol Certification.
- Ability to sell, serve, or distribute alcoholic beverages and exercise comp authority in accordance with applicable requirements.
Preferred:
- Associate degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
An equivalent combination of applicable food and beverage leadership experience and education may be considered in lieu of specified experience requirements.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work in a hospitality and entertainment environment with varying operational demands.
- Maintain a visible leadership presence throughout the assigned outlet and during peak business periods, special events, and property functions.
- Perform frequent communication and interaction with guests, team members, supervisors, and internal departments.
- Use POS systems, Microsoft Office Suite or related software, cash-handling equipment, and other standard operational equipment.
- Work in an environment where schedules and operational demands may vary based on property business needs.

Team members must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
