Position Summary
The Busser plays an essential role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by maintaining clean, organized, and fully stocked dining areas. This position is responsible for clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables, maintaining service stations, assisting servers as needed, and ensuring the restaurant meets established cleanliness, sanitation, and guest service standards. The Busser contributes to efficient restaurant operations while creating a welcoming environment for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Practice, support, and uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming.
- Become knowledgeable of restaurant service standards, including table setup, beverage service, and pre-bussing procedures.
- Clear, clean, sanitize, and reset dining tables in accordance with established service and sanitation standards.
- Stock and replenish service stations with glassware, silverware, dishes, condiments, linens, and other dining supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant, including dining areas, floors, carpets, service stations, and guest seating.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and presentation of tables, chairs, place settings, and surrounding dining areas.
- Assist servers by delivering beverages, food items, and other guest service requests as assigned.
- Coordinate with the host or hostess regarding table availability, seating needs, and guest service concerns.
- Maintain established inventory levels of restaurant supplies and equipment.
- Properly stock and organize outlet side stations to support efficient restaurant operations.
- Leave guest checks or change on tables according to established service procedures.
- Attend required meetings, training sessions, and continuing education opportunities.
- Follow all departmental policies, company procedures, internal controls, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Promote positive guest relations and maintain productive working relationships with fellow team members.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional guest service and ethical conduct.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Ability to secure and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License.
Preferred:
- Previous restaurant, food service, or customer service experience.
- Food Handler Certification.
- ServSafe Certification.
- TIPS Alcohol Certification.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout assigned shifts.
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and carrying trays, dishes, and restaurant supplies weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Frequent movement throughout the dining room, kitchen, and service areas.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, food service equipment, loud noise, and secondhand smoke in designated casino areas.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Frequent communication with guests and team members to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
Schedule
- Travel is not required for this position.
- Due to the dynamic nature of the hospitality and entertainment industry, team members must be available to work flexible schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.
