WarHorse Gaming is a gaming and entertainment division of Ho-Chunk, Inc., developed in partnership with the Nebraska Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association (HBPA). The Environmental Services (EVS) Heavy Duty Porter is responsible for performing a variety of specialized cleaning tasks throughout all areas of the property to maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for guests, team members, and visitors. This role requires attention to detail, safe equipment operation, and adherence to company standards for quality and efficiency.

Maintain working knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and equipment.
Assemble necessary materials and supplies from storage areas before each shift.
Perform cleaning and sanitization of assigned areas, including furnishings, fixtures, and flooring, using appropriate solutions and disinfectants.
Conduct heavy-duty carpet and floor cleaning in offices, guest areas, and back-of-house locations.
Clean high-maintenance areas and equipment during scheduled times, including post-closing hours.
Safely operate and maintain cleaning machines and related tools.
Return all equipment and materials to storage areas upon completion of work.
Clean and properly store equipment, rags, and mops in designated areas.
Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or mechanical failures promptly to a supervisor.
Assist in training and mentoring new team members.
Attend periodic meetings and required training sessions.
Maintain compliance with all departmental and company safety, internal control, and regulatory standards.
Demonstrate outstanding customer service and professionalism at all times.
Maintain a clean and professional appearance in accordance with company policy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
Must be 21 years of age or older
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
Previous experience in custodial, janitorial, or related cleaning roles; hospitality or resort experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and proper usage
Ability to obtain OSHA 10 Certification
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent physical activity
Exposure to varying temperatures, weather conditions, noise, fumes, chemicals, dust, and secondhand smoke
Regular lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
Extended periods of walking, bending, standing, and reaching
Work in confined or elevated areas as required
Manual dexterity, coordination, and physical stamina necessary for cleaning duties
Due to the dynamic nature of the hospitality and entertainment industry, team members must be available to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business demands require.
