Position Summary
The Drop & Count Attendant is responsible for accurately and securely performing the collection, counting, verification, and documentation of currency, gaming chips, tickets, and other financial instruments from gaming machines, table games, and other designated revenue sources. This role maintains strict compliance with internal controls, gaming regulations, and established count procedures while safeguarding company assets and ensuring financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Practice, support, and maintain the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming
- Perform the secure removal and transportation of currency from gaming machines and table games
- Follow all established Drop & Count policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Accurately count slot machine currency, TITO vouchers, and other gaming proceeds
- Operate electronic currency counting, ticket counting, and sorting equipment
- Record and verify currency totals using electronic counting systems
- Prepare, bundle, and organize currency for verification and deposit
- Separate and process slot tickets and currency according to established procedures
- Perform Poker Room chip counts and other assigned gaming counts
- Prepare count reports and accurately enter financial data into computerized accounting systems
- Identify and immediately report discrepancies, variances, or irregularities to supervisory personnel
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure count room environment
- Complete all assigned count activities within established timelines
- Safeguard confidential financial and operational information
- Follow all company policies, gaming regulations, and security requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to work accurately in a highly regulated environment
- Ability to secure and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License
Preferred:
- Previous casino Drop & Count experience
- Previous cash handling or financial reconciliation experience
- Experience operating currency counting or financial processing equipment
Certification Requirements
- Nebraska Gaming License (required and must be maintained)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout scheduled shifts
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of currency carts, drop boxes, and count materials (up to 50 pounds)
- Ability to perform repetitive counting and sorting tasks with a high level of accuracy
- Work in secure, restricted-access count room environments
- Ability to work under strict security procedures and surveillance
- Frequent use of currency counting equipment and computerized accounting systems
Schedule
- Travel is not required for this position
- Must be available to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and other shifts based on operational needs
