WarHorse Gaming is a gaming and entertainment division of Ho-Chunk, Inc., developed in partnership with the Nebraska Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association (HBPA). The company is responsible for managing the expansion of casino gaming at Nebraska’s historic horse racing venues, with properties in Lincoln, Omaha, and South Sioux City. The Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for delivering a positive guest experience by taking and preparing food and beverage orders, maintaining clean and organized workstations, and providing friendly, efficient service. This role supports day-to-day food and beverage operations while ensuring compliance with health standards, internal policies, and outlet service expectations.
Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly service to all casino guests.
Take, prepare, and deliver food and beverage orders according to outlet standards.
Maintain accurate knowledge of all menu items and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
Prepare food and beverage items according to established recipes and presentation guidelines.
Review completed orders with guests to ensure accuracy and satisfaction.
Maintain compliance with all cash-handling procedures.
Clean and organize workstations according to department standards and health code requirements.
Follow all department and company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations.
Maintain a neat and professional appearance while on duty.
Attend required meetings and training sessions.
Provide outstanding service to guests and team members at all times.
Practice and support the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required:
Must be 19 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to interact with mobile devices and touch screen technology
Strong customer service and communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to guest service excellence and ethical conduct
Preferred:
Previous server or customer service experience
Certifications:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License
Food Handler certification
ServSafe certification
TIPS Alcohol certification
Work performed in a casino and food service environment
Regular use of mobile devices and touch screen technology for order processing
Frequent interaction with guests and team members
Maintaining clean and organized workstations in accordance with health and safety standards
Due to the dynamic nature of the hospitality and entertainment industry, team members must be able to work varying schedules, including shifts that may reflect operational and guest service needs.
Travel is not required for this position.
