The Ale Haus Shift Supervisor – Beverage is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the beverage service team during an assigned shift while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence. This role leads by example, providing hands-on supervision, coaching, and direction to beverage team members in a high-volume gaming and hospitality environment. The Shift Supervisor partners closely with the Beverage Manager to maintain service standards, inventory controls, team accountability, and compliance with all company, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Practices, supports, and upholds the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming Omaha, LLC.
Provides leadership, communication, tools, and training necessary for the beverage team to deliver exceptional guest service.
Supervises beverage team members during assigned shifts and leads by example through a hands-on management approach.
Assists with scheduling to ensure proper staffing coverage for daily operations, peak hours, and special events.
Ensures prompt, friendly, and efficient beverage service to all guests in accordance with outlet standards.
Monitors par levels, daily inventory, and supply usage to meet operational demands.
Maintains accurate beverage inventory and participates in weekly inventory counts.
Assists the Beverage Manager with weekly and monthly ordering processes.
Ensures proper payment or comp authorization is obtained for all food and beverage services.
Supports team members in proper cash handling procedures and assists with end-of-shift register balancing; reports discrepancies to Finance.
Authorizes approved comp transactions in accordance with company policies.
Ensures compliance with S.M.A.R.T., TIPS, and responsible alcohol service standards.
Assists in the development of drink specials, promotions, and beverage offerings aligned with current trends.
Ensures all team members remain current on required trainings, certifications, and departmental standards.
Maintains compliance with all department policies, internal controls, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Promotes positive guest, team member, and public relations at all times.
Attends required meetings, trainings, and operational briefings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
Must be at least 19 years of age
Associate degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum three (3) years of food and beverage experience
At least one (1) year of supervisory experience in a high-volume beverage or gaming environment (bars, restaurants, banquets, or entertainment venues preferred)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong leadership and team development skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related systems
Experience with POS systems and operational reporting
Knowledge of health, safety, and food service regulations
Strong financial accountability, inventory, and budgeting awareness
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

This position involves selling, serving, and/or comping alcoholic beverages
No travel required for this position.
Due to the nature of the hospitality and entertainment industry, team members must be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs dictate.
