The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food for guests in accordance with established recipes and standards set by the Executive Chef. This position ensures all food is prepared safely, efficiently, and consistently while delivering excellent guest service in a fast-paced environment.

Provides fast, friendly, and professional service to guests and team members.
Prepares food items according to recipes, production standards, and guest requests.
Performs both line cook and prep cook duties as assigned.
Uses proper cooking methods and food handling techniques in accordance with health and safety standards.
Slices, dices, chops, portions, garnishes, and plates food items accurately and efficiently.
Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Identifies and addresses any health code or safety concerns promptly.
Maintains appropriate inventory levels of food products and supplies at assigned workstations.
Operates and maintains kitchen equipment following safety guidelines.
Demonstrates a willingness to learn and improve culinary skills.
Promotes current casino events and provides guests with directions as needed.
Leads by example and maintains professionalism at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Must be at least 19 years of age
High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience required
One (1) to five (5) years of cooking experience in a high-volume food service environment preferred
Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, food safety, and equipment operation
Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and terminology
Ability to taste and smell food for quality assurance
Knowledge of measurements, recipe yields, and portion control
Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
Strong communication and guest service skills
Ability to tolerate standard cleaning chemicals used in food service
Maintains a neat, professional appearance in accordance with company standards
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Strong organizational and self-management skills

Travel is not required for this position.
